A bill on ritual circumcision of boys was passed (against two votes) in the [[Storting|Norwegian Parliament]] in June 2014, with the new law going into effect on 1 January 2015. This law explicitly allows Jews to practice brit milah and obligates the Norwegian Health Care regions to offer the Muslim minority a safe and affordable procedure.
