The 1998 Spanish romantic film ''[[Lovers of the Arctic Circle]]'' ''(Los amantes del Círculo Polar)'', by director [[Julio Medem]], partly takes place in Rovaniemi. Rovaniemi appears in the [[video game]] ''[[Tom Clancy's EndWar]]'' as a possible battlefield.
