The weekly ''[[Hillsboro Tribune]]'', launched in 2012, was based in Hillsboro. The city is also served by Portland-based media outlets, including ''[[The Oregonian]]'', ''[[Willamette Week]]'', and all broadcast stations.<ref name=econ/>
Local FM radio station [[KQRZ-LP]] airing Oldies on 100.7&nbsp;MHz is licensed by the FCC to Hillsboro and is simulcast on 96.7&nbsp;MHz [[KICN-LP]]. AM radio station [[KUIK]] was based in Hillsboro until sold in 2018. KUIK was a 5,000-watt station broadcasting at the 1360 frequency.
