Garfield is a city in Emanuel County, Georgia, United States. The population was 257 in 2020.
History
[edit]The Georgia General Assembly incorporated the place as the Town of Garfield in 1905.<ref>Template:Cite book</ref>
Geography
[edit]Garfield is located in eastern Emanuel County at Template:Coord (32.650511, -82.096319).<ref name="GR1">Template:Cite web</ref> Georgia State Route 23 passes through the city, leading northeast Template:Convert to Millen and southwest Template:Convert to Twin City. Swainsboro, the Emanuel County seat, is Template:Convert to the west.
According to the United States Census Bureau, Garfield has a total area of Template:Convert, of which Template:Convert, or 0.86%, is water.<ref name="Census 2010">Template:Cite web</ref>
Demographics
[edit]As of the census<ref name="GR2" /> of 2000, there were 152 people, 65 households, and 46 families residing in the town. By the 2020 census, its population increased to 257.
