Cydippe

- Cydippe, one of the 50 Nereids, sea-nymph daughters of the 'Old Man of the Sea' Nereus and the Oceanid Doris.<ref>Hyginus, Fabulae Preface</ref><ref name=":0">Template:Cite book</ref> She was in the train of Cyrene along with her sisters.<ref>Virgil, Georgics 4.339</ref>
- Cydippe, also called Crybia or Lysippe,<ref>Footnote 92 as cited in Pliny the Elder, Naturalis Historia 35.36</ref> the daughter of the nymph Hegetoria and Ochimus, king of Rhodes. She married her paternal uncle, Cercaphus, who inherited the island.<ref>Diodorus Siculus, 5.57.7</ref> According to an alternate version, Ochimus engaged Cydippe to Ocridion but Cercaphus loved her and kidnapped her. He did not return until Ochimus was old.<ref>Plutarch, Quaestiones Graecae 27</ref> Cydippe was by Cercaphus the mother of Cameirus, Ialysus, and Lindes. Each of them founded a town in Rhodes and named it after himself.<ref>Diodorus Siculus, 5.57.8</ref>
