History
[edit]Coolidge had its start in 1900 when the Tifton, Thomasville and Gulf Railway was extended to that point.<ref name="Names">Template:Cite book</ref> The community was named after a railroad official.<ref name="Names" /> The Georgia General Assembly incorporated the place in 1901 as the "Town of Coolidge".<ref>Template:Cite book</ref>
