Template:Short description Template:Automatic taxobox
The Lophophorata (also called Tentaculata; not to be confused with Tentaculata Eschscholtz 1825, a class within the Ctenophora) are a Lophotrochozoan clade consisting of the Brachiozoa and the Bryozoa.<ref>Template:Cite journal</ref><ref>Template:Aut (1972). Molecular phylogenetic analyses suggest that lophophorates are protostomes, but on morphological grounds they have been assessed as deuterostomes.<ref>Template:Cite journal</ref> Fossil finds of the "tommotiid" Wufengella suggest that they evolved from worm-like animals that resembled annelids.<ref>Template:Cite journal</ref><ref>Template:Cite web</ref>
