Slow Motion Daydream is the sixth studio album by Everclear. It was released in the U.S. in 2003 on Capitol Records and recorded in 2002.

The album features a cover and title likely in reference to the record producer Lars Fox's previous band's (Grotus) album, slow motion apocolypse released in 1993. The band disbanded in 1996, prior to Fox becoming a regular producer for Everclear since 1997 for several years.

Production

The first single released to radio from Slow Motion Daydream was "Volvo Driving Soccer Mom",<ref>Template:Cite magazine</ref> followed by second single "The New York Times".

Though the album debuted at number 33 on the Billboard 200 chart, higher than the band's last, it quickly fell off the charts. By July 2004, the album had sold 106,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen Soundscan.<ref>Template:Cite magazine</ref> Spin listed the album as one of 2003's biggest commercial flops.<ref>Template:Cite magazine</ref>

This was the last album of new material to feature longtime members Craig Montoya and Greg Eklund who left the band later in August of that year.
