On the antique building "Steipe" where the former businessmen met 1000 years ago a latin script says: "ANTE ROMAM AUGUSTA TREVERORUM STETIT ANNIS MILLE TRECENTIS" Which means that, as generally known, Rome was found in 753 BC by Romulus and Remus, meanwhile the city of Trier was already busy for 1.300 years.
