Mantius

Mantius is also a genus of jumping spiders.

In Greek mythology, Mantius (Template:IPAc-en; Ancient Greek: Μαντίος means "diviner, seer, prophet") was the son of Melampus and Iphianassa and the father of Cleitus, Polypheides and, in some versions, of Oicles.<ref>Homer, Odyssey, 15. 242-249</ref><ref>Pausanias, Description of Greece, 6. 17. 6</ref>
