As of the [[2000 United States Census]]<ref name="GR2" /> there were 9,208 people, 3,438 households, and 2,619 families residing in the CDP. The [[population density]] was {{convert|1,033.5|/km2|/mi2|disp=preunit|people|people|abbr=on}}. There were 3,528 housing units at an average density of {{convert|396.0|/km2|/mi2|disp=preunit|units|units|abbr=on}}. The racial makeup of the CDP was 93.09% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 3.02% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.08% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 2.00% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.08% [[Pacific Islander (U.S. Census)|Pacific Islander]], 0.80% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 0.93% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 3.01% of the population.<ref name=Census2000/>
