The city lies along the Wasatch Front next to the Wasatch Mountain Range. Water is supplied by mountain springs and snowpack running off of the Wasatch Mountains. The climate varies greatly throughout the year, with very hot summers and mildly cold winters, with very pleasant spring and fall seasons separating the two. Precipitation is mainly accumulated in the winter and spring, but there is not enough to sustain any aquifers. In the city, the population was spread out, with 36.0% under the age of 18, 13.0% from 18 to 24, 31.6% from 25 to 44, 15.7% from 45 to 64, and 3.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 26 years. For every 100 females, there were 100.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.8 males. The median income for a household in the city was $46,271, and the median income for a family was $51,778. Males had a median income of $35,958 versus $22,917 for females.
