== Geography == 
The community is located at {{coord|38|00|46|N|122|38|43|W|type:city}}<ref name=gnis /> in the eastern half of the [[San Geronimo Valley]] of central Marin County. [[San Geronimo, California|San Geronimo]] and [[Lagunitas-Forest Knolls, California|Lagunitas-Forest Knolls]] are to its west. Woodacre is located {{convert|8|mi|km|0}} south-southwest of [[Novato, California|Novato]],<ref name=CGN>{{California's Geographic Names|723}}</ref> and 8 miles northwest of [[San Rafael, California|San Rafael]]; the nearest incorporated town is [[Fairfax, California|Fairfax]], {{convert|4|mi|0}} east-southeast. At {{convert|364|ft}}, Woodacre has the highest base elevation in Marin County.<ref name=gnis />

The racial makeup of Woodacre was 86.2% [[White Americans|White]], 0.3% [[African Americans|African American]], 0.6% [[Native Americans in the United States|Native American]], 2.0% [[Asian Americans|Asian]], 0.0% [[Pacific Islander Americans|Pacific Islander]], 1.9% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 9.0% from two or more races.
