==History==
The name of the town of Windsor likely originated from the 1813 will of Anderson Windsor, who owned land on Pond Branch and Yarrow Branch, near the present location of Windsor.

There were 63 housing units at an average density of {{convert|62.8|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The racial makeup of the town was 69.29% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 27.56% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 2.36% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.79% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]]. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 2.36% of the population.

There were 52 households, out of which 36.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.8% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 9.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 34.6% were non-families. 28.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 11.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.44 and the average family size was 3.09.

In the town, the population was spread out, with 28.3% under the age of 18, 3.1% from 18 to 24, 37.8% from 25 to 44, 22.0% from 45 to 64, and 8.7% who were 65 years of age or older.
