The [[population density]] was 147.5/km{{sup|2}} (383.6/mi<sup>2</sup>).  There were 78 housing units at an average density of 60.2/km{{sup|2}} (156.7/mi<sup>2</sup>).  The racial makeup of the town was 29.32% [[Race (United States Census)|White]], 64.92% [[Race (United States Census)|Black]] or [[Race (United States Census)|African American]], 1.05% [[Race (United States Census)|Native American]], 3.66% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 1.05% from two or more races.  3.66% of the population were [[Race (United States Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Race (United States Census)|Latino]] of any race.

There were 69 households, out of which 37.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.6% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 20.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.2% were non-families. 23.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 13.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.  The average household size was 2.77 and the average family size was 3.25.

In the city the population was spread out, with 31.9% under the age of 18, 6.3% from 18 to 24, 24.6% from 25 to 44, 23.6% from 45 to 64, and 13.6% who were 65 years of age or older.
