==Geography==
Wilmot Township is located in southeastern Bradford County and is bordered by [[Albany Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania|Albany Township]] to the west, [[Terry Township, Pennsylvania|Terry Township]] to the northwest, and by [[Wyalusing Township, Pennsylvania|Wyalusing Township]] and [[Tuscarora Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania|Tuscarora Township]] to the north across the [[Susquehanna River]]. To the east, in [[Wyoming County, Pennsylvania|Wyoming County]], are [[Braintrim Township, Pennsylvania|Braintrim]], [[Windham Township, Wyoming County, Pennsylvania|Windham]], and [[North Branch Township, Pennsylvania|North Branch]] townships, and to the south, in [[Sullivan County, Pennsylvania|Sullivan County]], are [[Colley Township, Sullivan County, Pennsylvania|Colley]] and [[Cherry Township, Sullivan County, Pennsylvania|Cherry]] townships. The unincorporated community of [[Sugar Run, Pennsylvania|Sugar Run]] is located in the northern part of the township, along the [[Susquehanna River]].

The population density was {{convert|26.8|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 723 housing units at an average density of 16.5/sq&nbsp;mi (6.4/km<sup>2</sup>). The racial makeup of the township was 98.22% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.34% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.08% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.25% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.08% [[Pacific Islander (U.S. Census)|Pacific Islander]], 0.25% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 0.76% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 0.51% of the population.

There were 454 households, out of which 30.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.7% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 6.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.3% were non-families. 19.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.59 and the average family size was 2.93.

In the township the population was spread out, with 25.1% under the age of 18, 6.3% from 18 to 24, 26.8% from 25 to 44, 28.2% from 45 to 64, and 13.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females there were 105.4 males.  For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 105.6 males.

The median income for a household in the township was $34,911, and the median income for a family was $40,298. Males had a median income of $35,563 versus $20,917 for females. About 13.0% of families and 13.3% of the population were below the [[poverty line]], including 20.4% of those under age 18 and 5.0% of those age 65 or over.
