The racial makeup was 82.58% (3,171) [[White (U.S. census)|White]], 13.39% (514) [[Black (U.S. census)|Black or African American]], 0.05% (2) [[Native American (U.S. census)|Native American]], 1.46% (56) [[Asian (U.S. census)|Asian]], 0.05% (2) [[Pacific Islander (U.S. census)|Pacific Islander]], 1.12% (43) from [[Race and ethnicity in the United States census#Race|other races]], and 1.35% (52) from two or more races. Of all households, 19.5% were made up of individuals and 9.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.58 and the average family size was 2.95.<ref name=Census2010/> 16.5% of the population were under the age of 18, 11.8% from 18 to 24, 30.1% from 25 to 44, 30.2% from 45 to 64, and 11.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40.8 years. For every 100 females, the population had 155.1 males.
