The [[population density]] was {{convert|77|/mi2|/km2|disp=preunit|people&nbsp;|people}}. There were 1,307 housing units at an average density of {{convert|376.7|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The racial makeup of the city was 81.4% [[Race (United States Census)|White]], 13.6% [[Race (United States Census)|Black]] or [[Race (United States Census)|African American]], 0.7% [[Race (United States Census)|Native American]], 1.1% [[Race (United States Census)|Asian]], 0.3% [[Race (United States Census)|Pacific Islander]], 0.5% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 2.5% from two or more races. 3.0% of the population were [[Race (United States Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Race (United States Census)|Latino]] of any race.

There were 2011 households, out of which 84.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.8% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 17.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.9% were non-families. 23.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 8.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.61 and the average family size was 3.06.

Weaver is home to two public schools:

The public schools in Weaver are run by Calhoun County Schools. Weaver High School's sports teams, the Bearcats, compete in Class 3A of the [[Alabama High School Athletic Association]] ('''AHSAA''').

As of 2024, Weaver has won 12 Traditional Wresting State championships and one State Duels Championship Class 1A-4A including 4x back to back in 1996-1999 and 2001-2004 and currently a 3x back to back 2021–Present.
