[[U.S. Route 27 Alternate (Georgia)|Alternate U.S. Route 27]] and [[Georgia State Route 85]] run northeast to southeast through the city, leading southwest {{convert|24|mi}} to [[Columbus, Georgia|Columbus]] and north {{convert|10|mi|0}} to [[Shiloh, Georgia|Shiloh]]. The two highways meet [[Georgia State Route 208]] in the northern city limits. [[Atlanta]] is {{convert|83|mi}} by road to the northeast.
