The population was 730 at the 2020 census.<ref name="USCensusEst2020-2021"/> It is located immediately south of [[Forest City, Pennsylvania|Forest City]] (population 1,911), which is in [[Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania|Susquehanna County]].

The population density was {{convert|577.7|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 340 housing units at an average density of 102.1 per square kilometer; (261.5 per square mile;). The racial makeup of the borough was 96% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 1.3% [[African American (U.S. Census)|Black]], 0.7% [[American Indian (U.S. Census)|American Indian]], 0.3% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.5% from some other race, and 1.2% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 2.1% of the population.

There were 309 households, out of which 27.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.8% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 10.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 34.3% were non-families. 27.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 13.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.43 and the average family size was 2.95.

In the borough the population was spread out, with 22.2% under the age of 18, 60.4% from 18 to 64, and 17.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42.5 years.

The median income for a household in the borough was $37,212, and the median income for a family was $46,250. Males had a median income of $32,250 versus $24,444 for females.
