==Geography==
Turkey Creek is located in northern Evangeline Parish. [[U.S. Route 167]] passes through the village, leading southeast {{convert|17|mi}} to [[Ville Platte, Louisiana|Ville Platte]], the [[parish seat]], and north {{convert|10|mi|0}} to [[Interstate 49]]. [[Louisiana Highway 13]] intersects US 167 in the center of Turkey Creek and leads south {{convert|6|mi|0}} to [[Pine Prairie, Louisiana|Pine Prairie]].

The population density was {{convert|143.7|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 148 housing units at an average density of {{convert|59.7|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The racial makeup of the village was 95.51% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 1.40% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 1.40% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.28% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], and 1.40% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 0.28% of the population.

There were 125 households, out of which 45.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 69.6% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 7.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 20.8% were non-families. 18.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.85 and the average family size was 3.26.

In the village, the population was spread out, with 32.9% under the age of 18, 9.6% from 18 to 24, 25.8% from 25 to 44, 19.1% from 45 to 64, and 12.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 32 years. For every 100 females, there were 97.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 86.7 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $25,625, and the median income for a family was $31,250. Males had a median income of $30,000 versus $18,750 for females.
