The villages of [[Boyceville, Wisconsin|Boyceville]] and [[Downing, Wisconsin|Downing]] are adjacent to the town.

As of the [[census]]<ref name="GR2" /> of 2000, there were 633 people, 230 households, and 177 families residing in the town. The [[population density]] was 21.1 people per square mile (8.2/km<sup>2</sup>). There were 239 housing units at an average density of 8.0 per square mile (3.1/km<sup>2</sup>). The racial makeup of the town was 99.53% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], and 0.47% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 1.26% of the population.

There were 230 households, out of which 38.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.0% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 5.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.0% were non-families. 16.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.75 and the average family size was 3.10.

In the town, the population was spread out, with 27.8% under the age of 18, 8.8% from 18 to 24, 26.5% from 25 to 44, 25.9% from 45 to 64, and 10.9% who were 65 years of age or older.
