[[Legend Valley]] in Thornville is the location of the Lost Lands music festival, hosted by [[Excision (musician)|Excision]].  Since 2021, it has hosted the annual [[Gathering of the Juggalos]].

The racial makeup of the village was 98.8% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.1% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.1% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.1% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], and 0.9% from two or more races.

Northern Local School District operates three public schools in or near the village: Thornville Elementary School, Sheridan Middle School, and [[Sheridan High School (Thornville, Ohio)|Sheridan High School]].
