== Geography ==
Tarrytown is located in northern Montgomery County at 32°19'9" North, 82°33'34" West (32.319181, -82.559323).<ref name="GR1">{{cite web|url=https://www.census.gov/geographies/reference-files/time-series/geo/gazetteer-files.html|publisher=[[United States Census Bureau]]|accessdate=April 23, 2011|date=February 12, 2011|title=US Gazetteer files: 2010, 2000, and 1990}}</ref> The [[Treutlen County, Georgia|Treutlen County]] line passes just north of the town limits.

Georgia State Routes [[Georgia State Route 15|15]] and [[Georgia State Route 29|29]] pass through the center of town together, leading northwest {{convert|4.5|mi}} to [[Soperton, Georgia|Soperton]] and southeast {{convert|9|mi|0}} to [[Higgston, Georgia|Higgston]]. [[Mount Vernon, Georgia|Mount Vernon]], the Montgomery [[county seat]], is {{Convert|10|mi|0}} to the south via local roads.
