The [[population density]] was {{convert|455.9|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|1}}. There were 167 housing units at an average density of {{convert|283.1|/mi2|/km2|disp=preunit|units&nbsp;|units|}}. The racial makeup of the village was 97.8% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 1.5% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], and 0.7% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 1.9% of the population.

There were 133 households, of which 27.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 40.6% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 7.5% had a female householder with no husband present, 4.5% had a male householder with no wife present, and 47.4% were non-families. 46.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 27.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.02 and the average family size was 2.83.

The racial makeup of the village was 99.62% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]] and 0.38% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]]. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 1.52% of the population.

There were 144 households, out of which 15.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 38.9% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 5.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 52.1% were non-families. 46.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 25.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 1.83 and the average family size was 2.58.

In the village, the population was spread out, with 16.3% under the age of 18, 3.8% from 18 to 24, 19.7% from 25 to 44, 26.9% from 45 to 64, and 33.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 54 years. For every 100 females, there were 95.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.3 males.

As of 2000 the median income for a household in the village was $24,545, and the median income for a family was $33,000. Males had a median income of $28,250 versus $16,500 for females.
