The township is located east of the geographic center of Mackinac County, extending from the [[Chippewa County, Michigan|Chippewa County]] line on the north to the city of [[St. Ignace, Michigan|St. Ignace]] at its southern border. The southeast portion of the township is within [[Lake Huron]] at its northwest end. [[Interstate 75]] crosses the township from north to south, with access from three exits.
