The lake extends into [[Richland Township, Kalamazoo County, Michigan|Richland Township]] to the west, and the northern tip crosses into [[Barry County, Michigan|Barry County]], areas which are outside the CDP. In the CDP, the population was spread out, with 23.4% under the age of 18, 5.4% from 18 to 24, 21.0% from 25 to 44, 34.1% from 45 to 64, and 16.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 45 years. For every 100 females, there were 94.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93.9 males. The median income for a household in the CDP was $65,833, and the median income for a family was $85,848. Males had a median income of $46,932 versus $30,000 for females.
