According to the [[U.S. Census Bureau]], the village has a total area of {{convert|0.21|sqmi|sqkm|2}}, of which {{convert|0.001|sqmi|acre|1}}, or 0.49%, are water.<ref name="CenPopGazetteer2023"/> The [[Chariton River]], a south-flowing tributary of the [[Missouri River]], passes just west of the village.

The racial makeup of the village was 98.0% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]] and 2.0% from two or more races.

The average household size was 3.00 and the average family size was 3.16.
