'''Shunem''' or '''Shunaam''' ({{langx|he|שׁוּנֵם}} ''Šūnēm''; in [[LXX]] {{langx|grc|Σουνὰν|Sounàn}}) was a small village mentioned in the [[Bible]] in the possession of the [[Tribe of Issachar]]. It was located near the [[Jezreel Valley]], north of [[Mount Gilboa]] ({{bibleverse||Joshua|19:18|JPS}}).

Shunaam is where the [[Philistines]] camped when they fought [[Saul]], the first [[Kings of Israel and Judah|king of Israel]] ({{bibleverse|1|Samuel|28:4|jps}}). It was the hometown of [[Abishag]], [[David|King David's]] companion in his old age ({{bibleverse|1|Kings|1:1|JT}}).
