Due to its high elevation, the area is colder much of the winter than Altoona, Johnstown, or State College, despite being well south of those locations. During the summer months, the area is a retreat for other Pennsylvanians, with high temperatures averaging approximately 10 degrees cooler than those of Pittsburgh and eastern portions of the state. Seven Springs has recorded many record lows and the all-time low is quite close to the state's all-time coldest temperature. {{Weather box |location = Seven Springs, Pennsylvania |single line = yes |Jan record high F = 65 |Feb record high F = 71 |Mar record high F = 79 |Apr record high F = 84 |May record high F = 89 |Jun record high F = 91 |Jul record high F = 93 |Aug record high F = 92 |Sep record high F = 89 |Oct record high F = 84 |Nov record high F = 74 |Dec record high F = 70 |year record high F = 93 |Jan high F = 28 |Feb high F = 30 |Mar high F = 39 |Apr high F = 53 |May high F = 62 |Jun high F = 70 |Jul high F = 77 |Aug high F = 75 |Sep high F = 67 |Oct high F = 58 |Nov high F = 41 |Dec high F = 32 |year high F = 51 |Jan low F = 8 |Feb low F = 10 |Mar low F = 19 |Apr low F = 27 |May low F = 39 |Jun low F = 45 |Jul low F = 58 |Aug low F = 57 |Sep low F = 47 |Oct low F = 35 |Nov low F = 26 |Dec low F = 15 |year low F = 36 |Jan record low F = -36 |Feb record low F = -32 |Mar record low F = -21 |Apr record low F = -4 |May record low F = 11 |Jun record low F = 22 |Jul record low F = 32 |Aug record low F = 29 |Sep record low F = 21 |Oct record low F = 9 |Nov record low F = -10 |Dec record low F = -23 |year record low F = -36 |precipitation colour = green |Jan precipitation inch = 3.1 |Feb precipitation inch = 2.9 |Mar precipitation inch = 3.5 |Apr precipitation inch = 3.9 |May precipitation inch = 4.5 |Jun precipitation inch = 4.7 |Jul precipitation inch = 5.0 |Aug precipitation inch = 4.8 |Sep precipitation inch = 4.4 |Oct precipitation inch = 3.1 |Nov precipitation inch = 4.0 |Dec precipitation inch = 3.9 |year precipitation inch = 47.9 |Jan snow inch = 34.0 |Feb snow inch = 30.8 |Mar snow inch = 27.7 |Apr snow inch = 10.8 |May snow inch = 3.2 |Jun snow inch = Trace |Jul snow inch = 0 |Aug snow inch = 0 |Sep snow inch = Trace |Oct snow inch = 2.7 |Nov snow inch = 14.8 |Dec snow inch = 28.1 |year snow inch = 153.1|date=July 2011 }} ==References== reflist Pittsburgh Metro Area <!-- applies only to the Fayette County portion of Seven Springs --> authority control
