At the [[2000 United States census|2000 Census]], there were 4,590 people, 1,851 households, and 1,269 families residing in the CDP. The population density was {{convert|1,293.1|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 2,041 housing units at an average density of {{convert|575.0|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The racial makeup of the CDP was 92.09% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 4.44% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.26% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.68% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.04% [[Pacific Islander (U.S. Census)|Pacific Islander]], 1.26% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 1.22% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 2.29% of the population.<ref name="GR2" />

The average household size was 2.48 and the average family size was 2.91.

In the CDP, the population was spread out, with 23.7% under the age of 18, 8.7% from 18 to 24, 29.9% from 25 to 44, 26.8% from 45 to 64, and 11.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females, there were 101.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 99.7 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $50,548, and the median income for a family was $62,724. Males had a median income of $40,443 versus $23,750 for females.
