The population density was {{convert|188.2|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 211 housing units at an average density of {{convert|89.3|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The racial makeup of the town was 99.10% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.45% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], and 0.45% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 0.90% of the population.

There were 186 households, out of which 26.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.5% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 9.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.6% were non-families. 29.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 20.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.39 and the average family size was 2.96.

In the town, the population was spread out, with 22.7% under the age of 18, 6.7% from 18 to 24, 25.4% from 25 to 44, 23.1% from 45 to 64, and 22.0% who were 65 years of age or older. Both [[Tennessee State Route 104]] (SR&nbsp;104) and [[Tennessee State Route 201]] (SR&nbsp;201) pass through town (running [[Concurrency (road)|concurrent]] for about {{convert|0.4|mi|km|disp=sqbr}}), while [[Tennessee State Route 421]] (SR&nbsp;421) has its northern terminus at SR&nbsp;104, just south of the southern junction of SR&nbsp;104 and SR&nbsp;201. Within the town the northwestern portion of SR&nbsp;201 is known as Henderson Road and the northeastern portion as Sardis-Scotts Hill Road. SR&nbsp;421 is known Hinkle Road.
