Prior to the 2010 census, this CDP was deleted and parts were taken to form [[El Chaparral, Texas|El Chaparral]] and [[Santa Rosa, Starr County, Texas|Santa Rosa]] CDPs. The racial makeup of the CDP was 80.63% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.63% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 17.46% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 1.27% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 99.68% of the population.
