==Geography==
Ryland Heights is located in eastern Kenton County. It is bordered to the east by the [[Licking River (Kentucky)|Licking River]], which forms the [[Campbell County, Kentucky|Campbell County]] line. Neighboring cities are [[Independence, Kentucky|Independence]] and [[Covington, Kentucky|Covington]] to the west, [[Fairview, Kentucky|Fairview]] to the northwest, and [[Taylor Mill, Kentucky|Taylor Mill]] to the north. [[Kentucky Route 177]] passes through the community, leading north {{convert|10|mi|0}} to downtown Covington and south {{convert|17|mi}} to [[Butler, Kentucky|Butler]].

The racial makeup of the city was 97.87% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.38% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.63% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.13% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 1.00% from two or more races.
