The [[population density]] was 23.0/km{{sup|2}} (59.5/mi<sup>2</sup>).  There were 118 housing units at an average density of 10.2/km{{sup|2}} (26.5/mi<sup>2</sup>).  The racial makeup of the town was 41.89% [[Race (United States Census)|White]], 57.74% [[Race (United States Census)|Black]] or [[Race (United States Census)|African American]], 0.38% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]].  0.38% of the population were [[Race (United States Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Race (United States Census)|Latino]] of any race.

There were 95 households, out of which 42.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.7% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 15.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 24.2% were non-families. 22.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 12.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.  The average household size was 2.79 and the average family size was 3.28.

In the town, the population was spread out, with 31.7% under the age of 18, 9.4% from 18 to 24, 30.2% from 25 to 44, 15.1% from 45 to 64, and 13.6% who were 65 years of age or older. Public education for elementary and secondary school students is provided by the [[Nevada School District]], which leads to graduation from [[Nevada High School (Arkansas)|Nevada High School]].
