The community is in the southeast corner of Bates County approximately 18 miles southeast of [[Butler, Missouri|Butler]] and on the north shore of the [[Harry S Truman Reservoir]]. The racial makeup of the city was 95.8% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.6% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.6% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], and 3.0% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 2.4% of the population.

[[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 1.85% of the population.
