'''Riverside''' is a [[Borough (Pennsylvania)|borough]] in [[Northumberland County, Pennsylvania|Northumberland County]], [[Pennsylvania]], [[United States]]. The population was 1,932 at the 2010 census. The current mayor {{when|date=October 2022}} is John LaMotte.

According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the borough has a total area of {{convert|5.3|sqmi|km2}}, of which {{convert|4.8|sqmi|km2}}  is land and {{convert|0.5|sqmi|km2}}  (8.85%) is water.

Riverside lies on the south side of the North Branch of  [[Susquehanna River]], hence the name.  Riverside is connected to [[Danville, Pennsylvania|Danville]] by the [[List of crossings of the Susquehanna River#Northumberland.2C Montour.2C and Columbia Counties|Factory Street Bridge]].

The population density was {{convert|384.4|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 799 housing units at an average density of {{convert|165.0|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The racial makeup of the borough was 99.19% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.05% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.21% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.11% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 0.43% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 0.64% of the population.

There were 760 households, out of which 30.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 65.0% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 7.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.1% were non-families. 23.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.44 and the average family size was 2.88.

In the borough the population was spread out, with 22.6% under the age of 18, 5.1% from 18 to 24, 27.5% from 25 to 44, 28.9% from 45 to 64, and 16.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females, there were 94.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.6 males.

The median income for a household in the borough was $45,469, and the median income for a family was $55,515. Males had a median income of $38,929 versus $25,556 for females. About 5.7% of families and 7.1% of the population were below the [[poverty line]], including 10.4% of those under age 18 and 9.2% of those age 65 or over.
