The population was 5,064 at the 2020 census, up from 4,795 at the 2010 census. It is part of the [[North Port, Florida|North Port]]&ndash;[[Bradenton, Florida|Bradenton]][[Sarasota, Florida|&ndash;Sarasota, Florida]] [[Bradenton-Sarasota-Venice, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area|Metropolitan Statistical Area]].

There were 2,370 households resulting in 2.03 persons per household.
