The [[Race and ethnicity in the United States Census#21st century|racial makeup]] of the town was 95.9% [[White Americans|White]], 1.5% [[African Americans|Black or African American]], 0.8% [[Native Americans in the United States|American Indian]] and [[Alaska Natives|Alaska Native]], 0.2% [[Asian Americans|Asian]], 0.8% some other race, and 0.9% [[Multiracial Americans|two or more races]].
