Red Lick is located in eastern Bowie County {{convert|9|mi|0}} northwest of downtown [[Texarkana, Texas|Texarkana]]. [[Interstate 30 in Texas|Interstate 30]] touches the southern border of the city, but the nearest access is either from [[Nash, Texas|Nash]] to the east or [[Leary, Texas|Leary]] to the west. The racial makeup of the city was 95.08% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 3.17% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.47% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.12% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.35% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 0.82% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 0.94% of the population.

There were 302 households, out of which 44.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 78.1% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 7.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 11.6% were non-families. 10.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 3.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
