==History==
Ragan was [[plat]]ted in 1886 when the [[St. Joseph and Grand Island Railway]] was extended to that point. The [[population density]] was {{convert|152.0|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|1}}. There were 25 housing units at an average density of {{convert|100.0|/sqmi|/km2|1}}. The racial makeup of the village was 100.0% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]].

There were 18 households, of which 11.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.6% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, and 44.4% were non-families. 33.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 11.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.11 and the average family size was 2.80.

The median age in the village was 50.5 years. 13.2% of residents were under the age of 18; 7.8% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 5.3% were from 25 to 44; 55.3% were from 45 to 64; and 18.4% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the village was 44.7% male and 55.3% female.

[[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 2.17% of the population.

There were 19 households, out of which 15.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.4% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 10.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.6% were non-families. 21.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and none had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.42 and the average family size was 2.77.

In the village, the population was spread out, with 21.7% under the age of 18, 6.5% from 18 to 24, 28.3% from 25 to 44, 30.4% from 45 to 64, and 13.0% who were 65 years of age or older.
