Queen City is located in northeastern Cass County and is bordered to the south by the city of [[Atlanta, Texas|Atlanta]]. [[U.S. Route 59]] passes through Queen City, leading north {{convert|22|mi}} to [[Texarkana, Texas|Texarkana]] and south into Atlanta. According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], Queen City has a total area of {{convert|9.2|km2|order=flip}}, of which {{convert|0.05|km2|order=flip|2}}, or 0.56%, is water.<ref name="Census 2010" />

As of the [[2020 United States census]], there were 1,397 people, 594 households, and 389 families residing in the city.

As of the [[census]] of 2000, there were 1,613 people, 660 households, and 440 families residing in the city.<ref name="GR2" /> The population density was {{convert|451.1|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 763 housing units at an average density of {{convert|213.4|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The racial makeup of the city was 82.27% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 14.45% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.81% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.19% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.68% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 1.61% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 1.92% of the population.

There were 660 households, out of which 33.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.9% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 15.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.2% were non-families. 30.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 14.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.44 and the average family size was 3.03.

The median income for a household in the city was $26,058, and the median income for a family was $36,389. Males had a median income of $27,031 versus $18,250 for females.
