==Geography==
Pillager is located in [[Sylvan Township, Cass County, Minnesota|Sylvan Township]] (T133N R30W), on the left (north) bank of the [[Crow Wing River]], just east of Lake Placid. The racial makeup of the city was 96.8% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.2% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 1.3% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.2% [[Race (U.S. Census)|Pacific Islander]], 0.4% from [[Race (U.S. Census)|other races]], and 1.1% from two or more races. The racial makeup of the city was 97.38% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 1.43% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.95% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], and 0.24% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 0.48% of the population.

There were 167 households, out of which 35.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.3% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 10.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 36.5% were non-families. For every 100 females, there were 112.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.1 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $29,375, and the median income for a family was $34,792. Males had a median income of $25,962 versus $18,438 for females.
