The [[population density]] was {{convert|31.7|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|1}}. There were 883 housing units at an average density of {{convert|22.1|/sqmi|/km2|1}}. The racial makeup of the town was 97.5% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.2% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.4% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.6% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.2% from [[Race (U.S. Census)|other races]], and 1.2% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 1.0% of the population.

There were 593 households, of which 18.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 48.7% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 5.9% had a female householder with no husband present, 3.9% had a male householder with no wife present, and 41.5% were non-families. 32.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 16.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.06 and the average family size was 2.57.

The population density was {{convert|33.7|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}.  There were 723 housing units at an average density of 18.1 per square mile (7.0/km{{sup|2}}).  The racial makeup of the town was 98.07% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.15% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.37% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.30% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.30% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 0.82% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 0.45% of the population.

The median income for a household in the town was $37,232, and the median income for a family was $42,368. Males had a median income of $30,921 versus $22,417 for females.
