==Geography==
The city sits on the boundary between Watonwan County to the north and Martin County to the south. State Highway 4 passes through the east side of the city, leading north {{convert|10|mi|0}} to St. James, the Watonwan [[county seat]], and south {{convert|14|mi}} to [[Sherburn, Minnesota|Sherburn]]. [[Fairmont, Minnesota|Fairmont]], the Martin County seat, is {{convert|25|mi}} to the southeast.

The [[population density]] was {{convert|374.3|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|1}}. There were 68 housing units at an average density of {{convert|194.3|/sqmi|/km2|1}}. The racial makeup of the city was 91.6% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 7.6% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], and 0.8% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 1.5% of the population.

There were 65 households, of which 13.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.8% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 3.1% had a female householder with no husband present, 6.2% had a male householder with no wife present, and 36.9% were non-families. 33.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 20% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.02 and the average family size was 2.51.

The racial makeup of the city was 98.70% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.65% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.65% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]]. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 0.65% of the population.

There were 65 households, out of which 36.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.1% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 6.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.7% were non-families. 26.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 18.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.37 and the average family size was 2.85.

In the city, the population was spread out, with 24.0% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 26.6% from 25 to 44, 23.4% from 45 to 64, and 18.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 41 years. For every 100 females, there were 83.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.8 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $37,500, and the median income for a family was $47,188. Males had a median income of $33,750 versus $14,063 for females. About 2.7% of families and 6.0% of the population were below the [[poverty line]], including 12.5% of those under the age of eighteen and none of those 65 or over.
