'''North Zanesville''' is an [[unincorporated community]] and [[census-designated place]] (CDP) in [[Muskingum County, Ohio|Muskingum County]], [[Ohio]], United States, just north of the city of [[Zanesville, Ohio|Zanesville]], along the [[Muskingum River]]. The population was 3,116 at the [[2020 United States census|2020 census]],<ref name="Census 2020"/> up from 2,816 in [[2010 United States census|2010]].

==Geography==
North Zanesville is in central Muskingum County, in the northeastern part of Falls Township. It is bordered to the south and west by the city of [[Zanesville, Ohio|Zanesville]], the [[county seat]]. According to the [[U.S. Census Bureau]], the CDP has a total area of {{convert|3.553|sqmi|3}}, of which {{convert|0.003|sqmi|3}}, or 0.08%, are water.<ref name="CenPopGazetteer2024"/> The community sits on high ground which drains east toward the [[Muskingum River]] and west toward Joes Run, a tributary of the [[Licking River (Ohio)|Licking River]], which joins the Muskingum in Zanesville.

As of the [[census]]<ref name="GR2" /> of 2000, there were 3,013 people, 1,223 households, and 917 families residing in the CDP. The population density was {{convert|838.8|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 1,262 housing units at an average density of {{convert|351.4|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The racial makeup of the CDP was 95.65% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 1.76% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.07% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 1.49% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.23% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 0.80% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 0.40% of the population.

There were 1,223 households, out of which 28.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 65.7% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 7.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.0% were non-families. 21.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 11.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.46 and the average family size was 2.86.

In the CDP, the population was spread out, with 23.2% under the age of 18, 4.9% from 18 to 24, 23.1% from 25 to 44, 27.3% from 45 to 64, and 21.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 44 years. For every 100 females, there were 87.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 86.1 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $51,306, and the median income for a family was $57,684. Males had a median income of $41,838 versus $30,625 for females. About 3.5% of families and 5.2% of the population were below the [[poverty line]], including 6.5% of those under age 18 and 3.0% of those age 65 or over.
