Neylandville is located northeast of the center of Hunt County. [[Texas State Highway 224]] passes through the town, leading northeast {{convert|7|mi|0}} to [[Commerce, Texas|Commerce]] and southwest {{convert|8|mi|0}} to [[Greenville, Texas|Greenville]], the Hunt [[county seat]].

As of the [[census]]<ref name="GR2" /> of 2000, there were 56 people, 24 households, and 15 families residing in the town. The population density was {{convert|177.2|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 32 housing units at an average density of {{convert|101.2|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The racial makeup of the town was 3.57% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]] and 96.43% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]].

There were 24 households, out of which 25.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 41.7% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 8.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 37.5% were non-families. 33.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 16.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.33 and the average family size was 3.07.

Neylandville is home to one liquor store and one beer and wine store. It is the closest town to Greenville that allows the sale of alcoholic beverages.
