==Geography==
Newtown is located in the northwest corner of Sullivan County along [[Missouri Route 139]] and just to the west of [[Medicine Creek (Missouri)|Medicine Creek]]. The racial makeup of the city was 85.2% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 7.7% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 3.3% from [[Race (U.S. Census)|other races]], and 3.8% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 9.8% of the population.

The racial makeup of the town was 98.56% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.48% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.48% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 0.48% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 4.31% of the population.
