The city is located in northwest Franklin County above the [[Missouri River Valley]]. [[Missouri Route 100]] is on the south side of the city. The racial makeup of the city was 95.1% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.7% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.6% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.3% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 1.7% from [[Race (U.S. Census)|other races]], and 1.6% from two or more races. The racial makeup of the city was 98.02% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.64% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.27% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], and 1.07% from two or more races.
