==Geography==
Munising is located on the southern edge of Munising Bay, also known as the South Bay of Grand Island Harbor, across from [[Grand Island (Michigan)|Grand Island]] around the mouth of the [[Anna River (Michigan)|Anna River]]. It is the primary embarkation point for cruises to [[Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore]] and [[Grand Island National Recreation Area]]. Grand Island is located one half mile north in Munising Bay.

The Munising area has many waterfalls including [[Alger Falls]], Horseshoe Falls, [[Memorial Falls]], [[Munising Falls]], [[Miners Falls]], [[Scott Falls]], [[Tannery Falls]] and [[Wagner Falls]].

The racial makeup of the city was 91.2% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.2% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 4.8% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.7% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.2% from [[Race (U.S. Census)|other races]], and 3.0% from two or more races.
